USTC astronomy and physics, PhD at Konstanz. At DJI he went from engineer to head of the consumer drone line that carried most of the revenue, then left in Nov 2020 with four colleagues. The Bambu Lab X1 (2022) earned the iPhone-of-3D-printing label for a reason: multi-colour via AMS, 600 mm/s class motion, and a closed-loop stack that made desktop printing work without tuning. H2D added laser cutting and engraving to the same body. Bambu is now the volume leader in consumer FDM and the target of the industry's incumbent: on 17 Sep 2026 an East Texas jury found willful infringement of four Stratasys patents covering purge towers, path generation and bed-levelling force detection across the X1, P1 and A1 lines, awarding $27.6M, with a fifth patent still to be tried. In April 2026 the Unified Patent Court in The Hague refused Stratasys preliminary measures against the H2C in Europe.
