Born 1985 in Nanjing,Liu studied AI robotics in Germany,graduating from the University of Bonn and participating in the renowned NimbRo and Computer Vision research groups. He returned to Nanjing and founded Weilan Intelligent Technology in 2019,focused on consumer-oriented quadruped robots branded AlphaDog — the first quadruped personal robot aimed at home scenarios. In 2023 Weilan closed an A1 round exceeding 100M yuan led by a state-market fund,aiming to build 'Apple-grade' quadruped products.
